Privacy Policy

1. Overview
Daubby is a scorekeeping aid for players of physical paper bingo cards. It uses your device's camera to read cards you already own, then helps you track called numbers during a game.
The short version: Daubby does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information. Photographs of your bingo cards are read on your device and stay on your device. There is no account and no advertising. The only information that ever leaves your device is anonymous diagnostic data that Google's on-device text-recognition library sends to Google — never your photographs and never the numbers on your cards. Section 9 explains exactly what it is.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide: None. Daubby has no account, no sign-in, and no registration. We never ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying detail in order to use the app.
Information collected automatically: Cynfi LLC collects nothing automatically. Daubby contains no analytics of our own, no crash reporting that identifies you, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party tracking. The one exception is anonymous diagnostic data sent to Google by the text-recognition library Daubby uses to read your cards; it is described in section 9, and Cynfi LLC does not receive it.
Information we do NOT collect: Photographs of your cards, the numbers on them, your game history, your location, your contacts, your device's hardware identifiers, or any advertising identifier.
3. Camera and Photographs
Daubby asks for camera access so you can photograph printed bingo cards you already own. Reading those cards is the app's main purpose.
Photographs are processed entirely on your device, by software running on your device. The numbers are recognised locally. Neither the photographs nor the numbers read from them are uploaded, shared, or sent to Cynfi LLC or to anyone else.
Daubby does not access your photo library. It only uses images you capture inside the app.
4. Data Storage
Your scanned cards, game history, and app settings are stored on your device only. We have no access to them.
Deleting the app removes this data from your device.
5. Network Connections
Daubby is not required to be online. Scanning cards and playing games work fully offline, which matters if you play somewhere without reliable service.
The app does make one kind of network request: it contacts a server operated by Cynfi LLC to check whether an improved card-reading model is available, and downloads it if so. This request contains no personal information and nothing about your cards or your games. As with any internet request, our server can see the network address it came from.
6. Purchases and Advertising
Card scanning is free to use for 60 days. After that, unlocking it is a single one-time purchase. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Party mode, which deals random cards, stays free and is not affected by the trial or the purchase.
The purchase is handled entirely by Apple (on the App Store) or Google (on Google Play). Cynfi LLC never sees your payment card, your billing address, or your Apple or Google account details, and we do not receive or store a record of your purchase. Daubby keeps a single yes/no flag on your device recording that scanning is unlocked, and the date you first saved a scanned card so it knows when the trial ends. Neither leaves your device.
Daubby contains no advertising.
7. Support Requests
If you contact us for support, we receive whatever you choose to put in your message, including your email address so we can reply. We use it to answer you and for nothing else.
8. Children's Privacy
Daubby collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Cynfi LLC receives nothing about any player, so there is nothing for us to disclose, sell, or retain about a child or anyone else. The anonymous diagnostic data described in section 9 goes to Google, identifies no one, and is the same for every player.
9. Third-Party Services
Daubby uses on-device machine learning libraries to recognise the numbers printed on your cards. These run locally on your device and do not send your images or card data anywhere.
Google ML Kit. The text-recognition library that reads your cards is Google ML Kit. The reading itself happens entirely on your device. Separately, ML Kit sends Google a small amount of anonymous diagnostic information so Google can measure and improve the library: your device's make, model and operating-system version; Daubby's app name and version; a random identifier created for this installation that is not tied to you or your device; performance measurements such as how long recognition took; and error codes. It does not include your photographs, the numbers on your cards, or anything that identifies you. It is sent encrypted, it is not used for advertising or tracking, and it goes to Google rather than to Cynfi LLC. Google describes this in its ML Kit data disclosure. Daubby cannot switch it off; if you do not want it sent, do not use the card scanner.
Apart from ML Kit, Daubby does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social media SDKs.
10. Changes to This Policy
If Daubby's data practices change, this page will be updated before the change is released, and the privacy information shown on the App Store will be updated to match.
